As the NBA playoffs approach, athletes are playing next level ball throughout the league. Two strong MVP contenders, Oklahoma City Thunder Russell Westbrook and Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry, have both been playing out of their minds all season long; and last night was no different. Check out two plays from Wednesday night’s action that prove these guys are from another planet.
While teammate Kevin Durant recovers from surgery, Westbrook is going HAM. En route to a 123-118 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Westbrook dropped 49 points, 10 assists and 16 rebounds. If you’re keeping count, that’s RW’s fourth straight triple double. No one’s wracked up four consecutive triple doubles since MJ achieved seven in a row back in 1989. And what’s even more impressive is that Westbrook’s career-high night in both points and rebounds came after the 26-year-old point guard missed a game due to surgery to repair facial damage suffered after taking a knee to the face.
Check out a masked Westbrook, go coast to coast and soar past the 76ers’ feeble and defenseless players for an unbelievably easy two points.
Ever wondered if a sharp shooter like Stephen Curry doubts his shot, even on an off night? Well, based on Curry’s action following this attempted and made three pointer, on a 6-16 night of shooting, I’d say, NEVER.
