Not only does Russell Westbrook dominate the court as point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, now he is taking over the fashion world, too. The accomplished athlete is working overtime creating a name for himself in the world of high fashion, and people are taking notice. From sitting front row at New York Mercedez Benz Fashion Week with Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue, to sitting front row at the Givenchy show in Paris, Westbrook is on his way to become an athlete turned fashion icon.
His unique, fearless, and cutting edge style has transferred over into his work off the court. He can now list Fashion Designer for luxury retailer Barneys New York on his resume. His debut collection for Barneys, Russell Westbrook XO Barneys New York collection, which works in cooperation with Jordan Brand includes printed t-shirts, running shorts, sport tights, jackets, hats, slippers, boots, luggage, and sunglasses. Items in his collection retail for as little as $65 and as high as $3,000.
Westbrook recently took a trip to Paris with the Barneys team to view the men’s Spring/Summer 2015 collections. Here are some pictures that document Westbrook’s trip to the City of Lights.
